Transcripts

All financial holds must be cleared before a request is processed.

An official transcript will not be released until all financial and academic obligations to the college have been satisfied. A hold is placed on a student’s records, including grades and transcript, when the student fails to resolve financial obligations with the college. For all financial debts of $500 or more, the hold will remain in effect for 10 business days after payment has been made.

Request Transfer Credit Evaluation of your transcript from another college:

Active Odessa College students who have earned 6 semester credit hours or higher in residence may request an evaluation of transfer credit from other institutions. Requests prior to the 6 SCH minimum will not be completed.

We are currently experiencing a peak period for evaluations. If you have questions about your transfer credit status, please email Records@dos5.net with your name and student ID number.

Students may review the OC Transfer Evaluation Service to see courses that have already been approved for transfer. If a course is not listed, it may mean that it has not yet been evaluated OR it could mean that an equivalent at Odessa College is not available. All college-level academic coursework with a passing grade is transferred to OC. Equivalent technical courses that are in the same program the student is pursuing at Odessa College are also transferred.

The Official Transcript is an official copy of the student's permanent record. Copies will be supplied upon written or E-mailed request. Odessa College does not accept transcript requests by telephone.

Currently enrolled or former students at Odessa College will receive official copies of their transcripts at no charge. A transcript request must be completed and submitted to the Records Office for the transcript to be sent. Any financial holds must be cleared before a transcript will be released. Students who wish to pick up their transcripts in person must present a valid photo identification.

A transcript of Continuing Education units earned in a noncredit course is available though the Continuing Education Office.

Transcripts submitted to Odessa College become the property of Odessa College and cannot be returned to the student. Transcripts will be kept on file throughout the semester that the student initially applied, but will be destroyed if the student does not enroll.

To protect student records, Odessa College adheres to the conditions by which information about students can be released as set forth in The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, as amended.
